Anthony Johnston took up the position of New South Wales
Commissioner of State Revenue in 2008. Previously, he was a
Special Counsel at Allens Arthur Robinson for 11 years, advising
primarily on state taxes. As an Office of State Revenue consultant
at the time of the “Rewrite”, he assisted with the development of
the Taxation Administration Act and the Duties Act. Before moving
to revenue law, Anthony practised for many years as a property
lawyer.
