Paul O'Donnell, CTA has had more than 35 years’ experience advising and teaching in the area of Australian tax.
Having started as a research assistant for Ross Parsons and Richard Vann at the University of Sydney, Paul moved to Clayton Utz and then EY for 20 years including 14 and a half years as a tax partner and director of EY Law Pty Ltd before becoming a tax partner at Blake Dawson Waldron and then Blake Dawson and then Ashurst Australia for more than ten years.
Paul has also been an adjunct Professor of Law and general member of faculty in the Masters Program teaching in the taxation of financing transactions for more than twenty years and has also been a NSW State Councillor for seven years and a facilitator and presenter of conferences at the Tax Institute and has also been on the Tax Sub Committee of the Business Section of the Law Council for approximately ten years. Paul is a member of the tax discussion group known as the Gunn Club and is the author of numerous tax papers. Paul is currently working as a consultant to Deloitte in Sydney.
