This is the eighth year of the very successful two-day event. The program this year provided targeted technical sessions that address the key tax issues arising from ongoing primary production business transactions and will provide you with the ideal opportunity to up to date on current tax and related legal issues in the area.

The 2024 program deep dived into topical issues, including:

  • A review of the issues facing foreign investors acquiring agriculture assets
  • A panel discussion on the emerging trends market update on carbon farming
  • Succession planning, including an overview of the practical considerations and how to implement a complete succession and business transition plan
  • Understanding the application of GST to farming enterprises; and
  • The many issues that can arise where a group structure includes family trust.
